This is a result of our production process. Our bulbs use double-layered glass containing inert gas inside, which can cause thisfeature.

What happens if you use a plasma ball without the glass?

It will stop working. It's not going to explode or set fire to your face or anything, it's just got some noble gasses in it, it's essentially harmless unless you rub the broken glass on yourself.

Do plasma balls charge you?

The amount of charge in the plasma ball is relatively smallso there is no risk of you getting hurt.
